Winters are cold, with an average of -10, but it's always windy it seems, and therefor colder. Winters are from about End of November to mid-April. Fall and Spring are average, not cold, but not warm. Both are sweater weather. Summers are very hot and humid, at times unbearable. (30+ degrees Celsius).
Here's how the climate is officially described:
"Montreal's climate varies a lot over the year. The city is known for its cold winters, but its summers are hot and generally sunny, with occasional muggy days. May and October are arguably the pleasantest months for outdoor activities and walking.
Average temperatures vary from 10-25°F (-13°-5°C) in January to 65-80°F (18°-27°C) in July."
